- Manuscript entitled, 'The Early Days of R. F. Burton/ begun on board Calypso—Bound for Bombay 1 January 1876 / Richard Burton's biography dictated to Isabel Burton'; covering the period 1876-1884. Draft in the hand of Isabel Burton, with autograph additions and corrections by Burton on the first few leaves. Written in a stationer's bound folio volume, mostly on the rectos, which have contemporary foliation, 1-212, with additions and amendments in the margins and facing versos. With a chronology, 'Dates of my Life', up to 1861 opposite the title-page, and what appears to be an alternative start at the end, reversing the volume.
