1. ff. 1-10. 'Six Sanday Tunes' (J399), for three-part children's violin group and string orchestra; 2001. Draft score. First performed on 24 June 2002 at the Community Hall, Sanday, Orkney, as part of the St Magnus Festival, by the Sanday Fiddle Group and the string section of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Dedicated to Mike Newman, the director of the Sanday Fiddle Group. Published by Chester Music, 2003.
2. ff. 11-27. 'Linguae Ignis' (J400), for cello and instrumental ensemble; 2002. Draft score. Commissioned by the Contemporarartensemble and first performed on 2 May 2002 at the Teatro Goldoni, Florence, Italy, as part of the Maggio Musicale Festival. Published by Chester Music.
3.ff. 29-51. 'Veni Creator Spiritus' (J401), for flute and bass clarinet; 2002. Charts, sketches and draft score. Commissioned by Sebastian Bell with funds provided by the Royal Academy of Music Research Fund and first performed on 19 February 2002 at the Royal Academy of Music. Published by Chester Music, 2003.
