Commissioned by the Royal Academy of Music and first performed on 18 April 2005 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, as part of the 'Max, A Musician of our Time' Festival. Published by Schott, 2005.
  • 2. ff. 28-44. 'Beacons of Hope' (J442), for military wind band; 2005. Draft score and score. With drawings in pencil and coloured pencil (f. 33v) and a page of corrections (f. 34). Commissioned by the Royal British Legion and first performed on 6 June 2005 at the Central Hall, Westminster as part of the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II, in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen. Published by Chester Music, 2005.
