Empire Blanda who were presumed drowned as a result of the ship being reported “overdue and presumed lost subsequent to 3rd February 1941” (but had been reported as lost through enemy action on the probable date of 18th February 1941)
  • Cingalese (Ceylonese) Seamen Death Schedule showing the names, ages, rank, next of kin and wages of John Dias Peris and Edirisuriya Patabidige John, crew members of the ss. Empire Blanda
  • Statement showing a pension award sanctioned in favour of Shujat Ali, father of deceased Indian seaman Abdul Gaffor
  • List of Indian seamen in respect of whom the Ministry of Pensions have received no details of awards [list includes the names of vessels and the dates they were sunk with the names of certain seamen under the heading “Number of cases outstanding”]
