2. March 1993. Visit to Paris for French publication of Ever After (A tout jamais). With five reviews in French.
3. May 1997. Visit to University of Nice to deliver lecture ('I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside') at a conference of the Société des Anglicistes de l'Enseignement Supérieur. Programme, related correspondence, Society Bulletin (September 1997), and a short article in French on Swift.
4. September 1997. Visit to Paris to promote French publication of Last Orders (La Dernière Tournée). Programme, with two reviews in French.
