- Fragment of case only (fos. 10-14, end) on powers of Governor General in purely legislative matters, and in raising taxes and duties. Endorsed "For the Opinion of Mr. Serjeant Spankie", and "Note - This is a copy of a case which was prepared by the Board of Commi[ssio]n[ers] E.L." Enclosed 1) Query, and opinion of Spankie, 17 Feb 1835 2) Joint opinion of Federick Pollock and W.W. Follet (Attorney- and Solicitor- General), 27 Jan. 1835. (in L/L/6/3 but un-numbered, and entered on penultimate page of table of contents, out of order) American trade with Singapore. An un-numbered full, case, and opinion, concerning the legality of the trade, is entered here in L/L/6/3. It lacks, besides a number, the counsel's name and the date. There is no corresponding piece among the originals.
