The foliation sequence appears in pencil, enclosed in a circle in the top right hand corner of the recto page of each folio. Folios 45-48 need to be folded out to be read. A second, incomplete foliation system also appears, written in pencil and not circled, starting at 4 on folio 3 and continuing to 178 on folio 88.
