Correspondence regarding the bicentennary of the Al Bu Said dynasty and a letter received by the Secretary of State for India from Rudolphe Said-Reute, who was related to the ruling dynasty in Muscat, regarding 1941 being the bicentennial anniversary of the dynasty. The correspondence also explores contradictions in Aitchinson's book of treaties and Lorimer's gazetteer as to the date of the foundation of the dynasty; the Sultans of Muscat and Zanzibar not planning any celebrations, primarily owing to World War II; the issuing of commemorative stamps in 1943 and a message of congratulation.
Other topics in the volume are the fixing of baiza and rupee rate in 1942; correspondence from the British Agent, Gwadur to the Political Agent Muscat, about the murder of Meskan and Pisol at Nagor by Hayatun; and correspondence between Political Agent, Muscat, and Political Agent, Kalat, about fishing rights in and around Juwani waters.
