The volume contains correspondence and telegrams between the Political Agent at Bahrain, the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf and the Ruler of Bahrain, Shaikh `Isa bin `Ali Al Khalifah, in regard to Shaikh `Isa bin `Ali Al Khalifah's opposition to reform and British jurisdiction and his son Shaikh ‘Abdullāh bin ‘Īsá Āl Khalīfah's dismissal; and correspondence with Kanga, Bhaishanker and Girdharlal Solicitors at Bombay regarding Shaikh `Isa's allowance.
There are some letters in Arabic, to and from the Shaikh of Bahrain.
