This file contains correspondence between Clive Kirkpatrick Daly, Political Agent at Bahrain, and the Political Resident of the Persian Gulf at Bushire, as well as members of the Āl Khalīfah family, including Shaikh ‘Īsá bin ‘Alī, Shaikh Ḥamad bin ‘Īsá and Shaikh ‘Abdullāh bin ‘Īsá. In addition, there are various file notes.
These papers concern relations between Shaikh ‘Abdullāh, his brother Shaikh Ḥamad, and the British Political Agent at Bahrain. Various statements and correspondence are included within the file attesting to the oppression of Bahrainis - including acts of kidnap, rape and political murder - perpetrated by Shaikh ‘Abdullāh and his associates, as well as spreading propaganda against his brother and the British.
