The file contains copies of telegrams, sent from His Majesty’s Ambassador in Baghdad, relating to flight regulation changes made in the Persian Gulf and wider Middle East region: A telegram dated 29 May 1948 (f 2) informs of prohibition and restrictions of entry into airspace above Egypt and Palestine. A telegram dated 1 June 1948 (f 3) announces the prohibition of night-time flying over all areas of Iraq. A telegram dated 28 June 1948 (f 4) informs of changes in radio frequency operation in Iraq. A telegram dated 6 September (f 6), informs of changes at Baghdad airport while repair work was undertaken on the main runway. A telegram dated 8 November 1948 (f 9) offers practical advice for aircraft landing at Baghdad.
