The file comprises brief biographies of the rulers of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ra's al Khaymah, Ajman and Umm al Qaywayn, written sometime between 1937 and 1942.
Also included for the rulers of Dubai and Ra's al Khaymah are information sheets giving details of their immediate families, rules of succession and councils or advisers; for Dubai a family tree showing two branches of the Āl Maktūm family from the early 1900s is also included.
