- The file consists of transcripts of telegrams and some letters either sent direct to the Political Agent, Bahrain, or forwarded by the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, announcing the appointment and transfer of British officials of the Government of India, some Government bodies and other agencies in the Persian Gulf region. The file also contains a press communique announcing the composition of the Interim Government of India, October 1946, and telegrams announcing appointments and organisational changes within the Interim Government.

The sequence appears written in pencil, enclosed in a circle, in the top right hand corner of the recto page of each folio. A second sequence commences at 1 on f. 2 and continues through to 24 on f. 26 This sequence is written in both pencil and ink.
