- The file contains three items of of correspondence between the Political Agent, Bahrain, and the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, Bahrain. The first item relates to the closure of the Naval Base and contains a request by the Political Agent that suitable buildings at the Base be used as accommodation for Agency staff. The letter also refers to the possibility of the continued use of the plant and machinery at the Naval Base, especially the water distilling plant, by the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC). The remaining two items of correspondence in the file refer to a request by the Resident that two Agency clerks be instructed to vacate the Residency Rest House, which was required for the accommodation of Public Works Department staff.
