The file includes a copy of a memorandum from the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf to the Foreign Secretary to the Government of India, Simla, dated 19 September 1931, concerning the proposed amalgamation of the Khorasan and Sistan Consulate Establishments with the Persian Gulf cadre, and the consequent submission of a list of the combined clerical cadre, with covering circular letter to the Political Agent Bahrein [Bahrain], dated 27 September 1931; nominal rolls of the Persian Gulf, Meshed and Sistan Clerical Establishment, 1931-1933 inclusive; nominal rolls of the Persian Gulf, Meshed, and Zabul Clerical Establishment, 1936-1946 inclusive; correspondence concerning appointments, postings, and transfers of individual Clerks; correspondence concerning pensionable service; correspondence concerning promotions and confirmations; correspondence concerning officiating arrangements; circular memorandum from the British Consulate-General, Bushire requesting information on the members of the clerical cadre at Bahrain, and reply from the Political Agency, Bahrain giving relevant details, June 1942; and a letter from a Clerk concerning his entry in the nominal roll, February 1943.
