The file contains correspondence relating to the seizure of boats belonging to Bahrain subjects by Persian patrol boats. The correspondence is between representatives of the Bahrain Government, the Political Agency in Bahrain, and the Political Residency in the Persian Gulf at Bushire.
The papers concern five separate incidents in 1933, 1934 and 1940, when boats and cargo were captured by the Persian authorities, who suspected smuggling was taking place. Some of the correspondence pertains to the value of goods seized.
The file contains an issue of the publication Khaleej-i-Iran, dated 4 March 1933, that features an article on one of the boat seizures (folios 5-6; English translation, folio 20).
