The file contains copies of correspondence from the Political Agent, Bahrain, Lieutenant-Colonel Percy Gordon Loch, to the Adviser to the Government of Bahrain, Charles Dalrymple Belgrave, and the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, Lieutenant-Colonel Trenchard Craven William Fowle, in Bushire. The correspondence concerns the flying of the Bahrain flag on all Bahrain vessels and the flying of the personal flag of the Shaikh of Bahrain (Shaikh Ḥamad bin ‘Īsá Āl Khalīfah) on any vessel he is aboard. Included in the file are four copies of a government notice on the matter featuring colour drawings of each flag.
