The file contains correspondence relating to the design, purchase, and shipment of a shield to be presented as a prize for a competition held by the Bahrain State Police. The correspondence is between the Political Agent, Bahrain (Lieutenant-Colonel Percy Gordon Loch, later Tom Hickinbotham), the Political Residency in the Persian Gulf at Bushire, F P Baker and Company Limited, and the Adviser to the Government of Bahrain (Charles Dalrymple Belgrave).
The file contains:

- correspondence relating to the shipment of the shield, including complaints by the Political Agent about it being sent to Bushire instead of Bahrain;
