The file contains correspondence relating to driving offences in Bahrain. Much of the correspondence is between the Political Agency in Bahrain and the Adviser to Government of Bahrain, Charles Dalrymple Belgrave. The file includes:
- correspondence with Bahrain Petroleum Company Chief Local Representative, WP Anderson, regarding complaints about and offences of drivers employed by the company;
- correspondence with the Office of the Air Liaison Officer regarding similar complaints about the driving of British military personnel;
- numerous police and court statements connected to driving offences, some of which involved serious accidents;
- correspondence connected to the government's efforts to clamp down on such offences, including a copy of the Motor Vehicles proclamation (folios 2-6);
- a notification from the Political Agency regarding vehicle registration and licensing, with a scale for fines issued (folios 103-05).
Folios 106-14 are internal office notes.
