- File 13/5 IV Registration of births, marriages and deaths: supply of consular forms
- Scope & Content:
-
The file contains the annual death returns for British Indian, British Pakistani and European British subjects, who died in Bahrain in 1947. This information was compiled by the Political Agent, Bahrain in his capacity as Registrar and sent to both the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, Bahrain and the Registrar General for Births, Marriages and Deaths at Somerset House, London. There is also correspondence clarifying the nationality of two British subjects who died in 1946.

On the original file cover (folio 10) is a note indicating that papers relating to regulations, instructions and procedures for births, deaths and marriages and the appointment of marriage officers, were removed from the file in 1951 and transferred to three other office files at the Bahrain Agency, with the references: 1832/51, 1833/51 and 1834/51.
