- Scope & Content:
- The file contains one main document that was circulated to the Political Agent, Bahrain and others, for information and guidance in 1944. It is a letter of notification, dated 8 December 1943, from the Government of India Home Department, New Delhi to all its departments at home and overseas. It contains an announcement about the new Government Servants’ Applications for Posts (Central Services) Rules, 1943. These replaced the 1934 Rules, regarding the eligibility of existing Government of India employees to apply for and transfer to a post in another department of the Central Government, or a department or office under the control of a Crown Representative, Provincial Government or Chief Commissioner.
