- The file contains two letters, dated 14 July 1944 and 20 February 1945, from the Government of India, External Affairs Department, to the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, Bushire, which were copied to the Political Agent, Bahrain and others, for information. The letters discuss the need to make provision under rules, for the future civil employment status, rank and pay of British and Indian officers of the Indian Medical Department (IMD) serving in the Persian Gulf, following the formation of the Indian Army Medical Corps (IAMC).
