The file contains correspondence in the form of letters, memoranda and petitions regarding the estates of deceased people in Bahrain. The papers are mainly from petitioners on matters of inheritance, custody and the administration of foreign estates in Bahrain. The file also contains notes and rulings which were sent by the Bahrain Sharia Court to the Political Agency Court. Most of the correspondence is in Arabic.
The main correspondence is between the Political Agency, Bahrain, the Adviser to the Bahrain Government (Charles Dalrymple Belgrave), and the Bahrain Sharia Court.
