- The file contains correspondence between officials of the India Office and the War Office concerning the service of officers on the Seistan [Sistan] Arbitration Commission. Discussion concerns the conference of temporary ranks upon officers serving on the Commission, including the head of the Commission, Major Arthur Henry McMahon; and a request made to the War Office in 1913 by an officer requesting that his service on the Commission be recorded as Staff Service in the War Office Quarterly Army List, and additional recommendations for other officers to be likewise listed.
