- Radio Scripts
- Scope & Content:
- Partly typewritten and partly autograph. Contains copy of script for 'The Worst Journey in the World' written and recorded by Hughes with Fraser Kerr and Norman Claridge for the BBC (recorded 13th March and transmitted on 10th April 1964) with accompanying letter; script for 'The Novel Today: "Voss" by Patrick White' recorded by Hughes (recorded 11th November 1963 and transmitted on 23rd January 1964), "Life and Letters" 'Three Poets of the Second World War' script written by Hughes (recorded 31st March and transmitted on 30th August 1964) and a script for 'Listening and Writing Your Animals - and Others', which gives no details about narrator or readers although it does give a date of transmission (1st December 1961) on BBC Home Service. A loose page (number 14), which appears to contain part of a poem about Nessie the Mannerless Monster (although it states that 'That was Ted Hughes talking about 'Meet My Folks') dated 22nd March 1962 is also included.
