- Typewritten and autograph, a photocopy of autograph draft of eulogy given by Hughes at the funeral of his former teacher and friend, John Fisher, drafts of a piece written about Stephen Spender, a draft of 'Memorial Reading for William Golding, Salisbury Cathedral, November 20th [19]93' and two drafts of a piece about Peter Brook for the 'Peter Brook Festival 1989' are included. Drafts of a speech about Charles Causley, a copy of 'A Centenary Toast to T.S. Eliot' (a synopsis of which was given on 26th September 1988 at the Centenary Dinner for Eliot), drafts of an 'Introduction to a reading of The Waste Land, Palace Theatre' (given 25th September 1988) and 'On the Unveiling of the Plaque to T.S. Eliot'; a copy of a 'talk given at Exeter University' about Henry Williamson and drafts of a piece about John Montague (some of the autograph notes appear to have notes written about Stephen Spender as well) are also included. This folder contains some undated material.
