The volume contains parts 3, 4, and 5 of the subject ‘Asiatic Turkey: Oil Concessions’.
Part 3 (IOR/L/PS/10/302/1) concerns ongoing negotiations over the Turkish Petroleum Company’s oil concessions for the Mesopotamian vilayets of Mosul and Baghdad.
Part 4 (IOR/L/PS/10/302/2) concerns competing claims, and in particular those from the oil explorer Roland H Silley, over oil licenses in Mesopotamia and Nejd.
Part 5 (IOR/L/PS/10/302/3) concerns the status of oil concessions in Mesopotamia and the broader Ottoman region, during the First World War, and the likely outcomes of any settlement in the post-war period.
