The volume contains telegrams and correspondence regarding a Government of India proposal to purchase and distribute copies of the newspaper The Near East among Indian Muslims. The volume also contains a distribution list and a distribution plan, receipts and correspondence regarding the subscription to the newspaper, as well as issues of The Near East for June 1912, and 23 October 1914.
The principal correspondents are: The Near East, the British Legation in France, the Finance Department of the Government of India, the Department of Education of the Government of India, the Foreign Office, and the India Office.
