The volume comprises telegrams, despatches, correspondence, memoranda, and notes relating to the role of interpreters and political officers on loan to the War Office.
The discussion in the volume relates to the:
- Dates of appointment of various officers as interpreters and press officers
- Pay of certain political officers whose services have been lent to War Office as interpreters, on their transfer to Indian Units as combatant officers
- Objection of the Government of India to the grant of permission to Captain B R Reiley, Bombay Political Department, now on leave, to serve in a combatant capacity under the War Office.
