- This file contains papers relating to visa requirements for air passengers transiting through Arab states, which include the principalities of the Persian Gulf. The majority of the papers are exchanges detailing the visa requirements of passengers travelling between south, east, and southeast Asia to Europe or vice versa, via the Middle East. Such transit visas were required by airlines, most of which had routes passing through the Persian Gulf at the time.
