This file consists of letters and telegrams between officials of the Foreign Office and the Commonwealth Relations Office, as well as the Political Agent at Kuwait and the Political Resident at Bahrain, regarding the procedure of preparation for the Middle East Congressional Tour by members of the Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee of the House of Representatives of Unites States.
The planned tour includes visits to Bahrein [Bahrain], Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Persia [Iran]. Included in the plan of the tour is a proposed visit to a United States oil concession in Saudi Arabia. Also included in the file is the itinerary of the tour.
The file includes a divider which gives the subject number, the year the subject file was opened, the subject heading, and a list of correspondence references by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence.
