The file contains a small number of papers related to a suggestion, made by the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf in a telegram dated 15 August 1944 (folio 11), for the appointment of Provost (military police) personnel to maintain discipline among the increasing number of United States Army Air Force (USAAF) personnel at Sharjah.
