- Correspondence regarding a formal visit made by the Royal Pakistan Naval vessel HMPS Jhelum to Muscat, during which a consignment of gunpowder was transported to the Sultan of Muscat. The Government of India had arranged for the transport of gunpowder three years earlier, but had been unable to effect the transfer. The correspondence provides details of the visit, which included a formal lunch for the Sultan, tea and dinner parties for officers, local notables and the royal family, and an open day for the public.
