The correspondence is between officials at the Political Residency in the Persian Gulf, Government of India (External Affairs Department), India Office, Ministry of Information, and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The papers cover the discussion over the reasons behind the Sultan's wish and instructions given to the BBC and Ministry of Information to respect it.
