Correspondence, minute papers, drafts, and memoranda related to the drafting and issue of The Muscat Order in Council, 1939. The correspondence is principally between officials at the India Office, Foreign Office, Government of India (External Affairs), and Political Residency in the Persian Gulf. The order was necessary to conform to the provisions of a new Treaty of Friendship between Britain and Muscat.
