This volume contains copies of a monthly news summary concerning the Arab states of the Persian Gulf that was prepared by the office of the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf.
The contents of the summaries vary slightly month by month but generally contain the following sub-headings: movements of British officials and Arab rulers, foreign interests, visits by Royal Navy ships, foreign visitors, Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, Trucial Coast (sometimes referred to as Trucial Oman), aviation, health and Ibn Saud's interests (Hejaz and Nejd). The summaries also contains meteorological information occasionally and reports of specific incidents from that month.
In addition to copies of the summaries themselves, the volume also contains a limited amount of related correspondence between British officials, primarily brief covering letters.
The volume includes a divider, which gives a list of correspondence references contained in the volume by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence.
