The correspondence includes letters dated May 1941 from the Political Agent, Bahrain (Reginald George Evelyn William Alban) and the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf (Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Geoffrey Prior) commenting on the causes of public disaffection in Bahrain and discontent with the local administration (folios 319-327); and a further letter from Prior dated 1945 concerning allowances made to the ruling family of Bahrain (folios 19-22).

Folios 3-26 are minutes and correspondence dated 1942-47, and are not in chronological order.

The file includes a divider, which gives a list of correspondence references contained in the file by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence.
