Typescript agreement (simply entitled 'Agreement') between the Governor General in Council and the Kuwait Zubair Transport Company, dated 29 March 1947, setting out the terms for the operation by the company on a contractor basis of the Kuwait-Zubair mail service. The agreement relates to the delivery by the company of all postal articles and mail bags as defined in the Indian Post Office Act of 1898 (and as later amended).
The agreement includes statement of import and export duties in Bahrain, Trucial Coast, Kuwait and Muscat (folios 2-3); recommendations by the British Post Office Representative for the services to be provided, dated November 1947 (folios 5-8); and list of services which it is proposed to maintain or discontinue, dated December 1947 (folios 10-13).
