- Agreement between Duke Crispe, late of St. Helena, and the Company. The subject is referred to in a minute of the Court of Directors dated 21 March 1745 (see B/68). Three Fort Marlborough currency notes, Oct 1776 and Dec 1801. Certificate of insurance of the ship Northumberland on her first voyage to India, Feb 1781. Agreement between John Kingston, acting for Messrs Ahmuty & Co of Madeira, and the Company relative to the shipment of Madeira wine, Dec 1785. Certificate of insurance on goods on the ship Lady Castlereagh on voyage from Whampoa to London, Jan 1817. Authority for payment of £5,000 to the Persian Ambassador for the credit of the Shah of Persia, and the Ambassador's receipt in triplicate, March 1820. Deed of Security between Charles Fraser, George Charles Pratt and others connected with the charter of a ship to the Company, Sept 1825. Deed of acceptance of £10,000 received from Lady Raffles, widow of Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, in full settlement of claims by the Company against his estate, July 1829. Letter from the Secretary to Lt-Col W B Davis awarding him compensation for loss of property at Bencoolen when it was ceded to the Dutch, July 1829. Two letters, one from Messrs, Marjoribanks & Ferrers and the other from Messrs Pitman, Hulock & Co. endorsing an insurance policy on their goods to be shipped from China to London, in order that they may apply for an advance in China, May & June 1834. Certificate of the receipt of an insurance policy deposited for the same purpose, May 1835. Certificates of insurance on marine steam engines and boilers shipped to Bombay, 1839. Declaration by the Secretary of the East Indian Iron Company in process of winding-up, concerning the affairs of the Company, April 1874.
