This manuscript contains 3 texts:
ff. 1r-35v: the B-text of the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, written in the late tenth century with additions about the True Cross and a list of archbishops of Canterbury from the late 11th or early 12th century;
ff. 36r-120v: an imperfect cartulary of Ely Cathedral, including the Inquisitio Eliensis and the Inquisitio comitatus Cantabrigiensis, copied between the late 12th and mid-13th century;
ff. 121r-199v: an imperfect chronicle of English history between 1042-1346, copied in the 2nd half of the 14th century.

Dimensions: 250 × 210 mm (text space ranges from between 170 x 110 mm and 200 x 135 mm).
Foliation: ff. 199 (+ 3 unfoliated modern paper flyleaves at the beginning and 2 at the end + 2 unfoliated parchment leaves between ff. 35v and 36r).
Script: Anglo-Saxon Square Minuscule, Protogothic, Gothic.
Binding: BM/BL in-house, rebound in 1962
