A. "The antiquity, authority, and succession of the high steward, constable, and marshal of England, and jurisdiction of the court military:" being a collection of various tracts made by several learned antiquaries, such as sir Robt. Cotton, Mr. Camden, Mr. Townsend, Mr. Tate, Mr Days, Arthur Agard, Joseph Holland, Francis Thynne, George Buck, &c. in the years 1602 and 1603. The particulars are as follows:
