(Date from front cover label). Text in Italian. Partly on green paper. The name of the singer, 'Mrs Page', is written on the front cover label. ('Falstaff', opera in 2 acts, libretto by Manfredo Maggioni, after Shakespeare's comedy 'The merry wives of Windsor'. Written for Her Majesty's Theatre, London, and first performed on 19 July 1838. Revived in 1848, starring Jenny Lind, with Miss Cruvelli singing the part of Maria, which had been sung in the 1838 performance by Ann Page.)2. Vincenzo Bellini: 'I Capuleti e Montecchi'. Violin 1 part and timpani part of the duet 'Si fuggire'; 1833. With blind stamp of J H Mapleson. ('I Capuleti e Montecchi', opera in 4 parts, libretto by Felice Romani after Shakespeare. First performed at Venice on 11 March 1833. First performed in London at the King's Theatre, 20 July 1833.)3. Francesco Bianchi: 'Merope'. Timpani part; c 1797. ('Merope', opera in 2 acts, libretto by Da Ponte after Voltaire. Composed for the King's Theatre and first performed on 10 June 1797.) Add. 15991 is a full score of Bianchi's 'Merope'.
