- Title:
- Papers concerning a proposed 50th anniversary issue of Imago Mundi, with a foreword by Brian Harley (Exeter University) discussing the influence of Imago Mundi over the previous 50 years, to be based upon contributions from the overseas Corresponding Editors.
- Scope & Content:
-
Most of these papers date to a short period in July and August 1985. Eila Campbell (with others) was much offended by the criticisms of Imago Mundi made by Harley in an after-dinner speech on 11 July 1985 at the International Conference on the History of Cartography in Ottawa. She refused to publish Harley's revised text, 'Imago Mundi: The First Fifty Years and the Next Ten'. It was eventually published in Canada in Cartographica, vol 23:3 (Autumn 1986), pages 1-15.
