The text narrates the love story of Candramukhi, daughter of the king of Gandarbha, and Gulshunahār, son of the king of Misar (which has been identified as Egypt). The story seems to be an adaptation from a Persian story. The text shows literary innovations made in the structure and the form of the narration.
The original is an undated printed volume measuring 201mm x 127mm. The title page is missing from the book. Pages 28-31 are also missing. The main text is found on pages 3-52 and that is all that has been copied, along with the front cover of the book.
