Material: Parchment (except for ff 6, 13, 23, 27, 33, 35, 42, paper).

Foliation: ff (ii) + 273 + (ii).

Dimensions: 420 x 325 mm.

Ruling: 320 x 105 mm, written in two columns.

Binding: Contemporary British Museum black leather binding.

Illustration: Each commemoration has an image, the first three having been removed (possibly to be used as icons) and subsequently replaced in the 16th century. Twenty-two images survive.

Owned by the Hon. Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford (b. 1766, d. 1727): his sale, 29 February 1829, lot 646.

Purchased by the British Museum from the library of the Revd Dr Samuel Butler (b. 1774, d. 1839), Bishop of Litchfield, 5 July 1841.
