- 'The lost portrait', opera, libretto by Carol J. Williams. 1972. Act 2, Scene 1. Vocal score, transparency in ink.
- 'Baga, or the memoirs of a King', for four voices, flute, clarinet, violin, cello and two percussion players, words from the novel of the same title by Robert Pinget. 1975. In French and English; the English translation is by the composer. Full score, transparency. Composed in 1973 for the Guildhall School of Music Theatre Group and performed at Morley College, London. The French version was made in 1975. With related papers and correspondence including draft programme notes and correspondence with publishers Les éditions de minuit, Calder and Boyars and Editions Salabert, and with the Société Internationale de Musique Contemporaire, Festival d'Automne, 1973-1979. Some of the correspondence is in French.
