Scope & Content:

Letters in Malay in Jawi script, mostly dated ca. 1810-11, to Thomas Stamford Raffles acting as Agent to the Governor General with the Malay States, in Melaka, from Malay and Indonesian rulers, mainly concerning the impending British invasion of Java in 1811; also a few miscellaneous Malay letters of different provenance and two letters in Balinese.
