Monastic rule of the convent of Our Lady of Sure Hope, Constantinople, composed by Theodora Synadene.
Preceded by (ff 1r-2r) a πίναξ and (ff 3r-7v) the preface of Theodora. Followed by a cartulary, and recommendations added by Theodora's daughter, Euphrosyne.
A copy of the text of Oxford, Lincoln College, MS gr. 35 (identified in a note by Sp. Lampros, 24 Oct. 1876, f i recto), printed in Delehaye 1921. Also included (ff 13r-v) are facsimiles of the inscriptions on the prefatory illuminated folios in the Lincoln College manuscript.

Written by Humfrey Wanley in London: colophon and note on the eclipse of the sun on 22 April 1715 (cf. Burney MS 16, f 126r), f 58r; see also Heyworth HW pp. 312-313, 318).
Owned by Wanley (Diary p. 98 n. 1, pp. 226-227; Fontes p. 343).
The Harley Collection, formed by Robert Harley (b. 1661, d. 1724), 1st earl of Oxford and Mortimer, politician, and Edward Harley (b. 1689, d. 1741), 2nd earl of Oxford and Mortimer, book collector and patron of the arts.
Edward Harley bequeathed the library to his widow, Henrietta Cavendish, née Holles (b. 1694, d. 1755) during her lifetime and thereafter to their daughter, Margaret Cavendish Bentinck (b. 1715, d.1785), duchess of Portland; the manuscripts were sold by the Countess and the Duchess in 1753 to the nation for £10,000 (a fraction of their contemporary value) under the Act of Parliament that also established the British Museum; the Harley manuscripts form one of the foundation collections of the British Library.
