(ff. 21-44). 25 lines (ff. 1-12), 26 lines (ff. 13-18), 18 lines (ff. 21-44), 15 lines (ff. 45-52v), 14 lines (ff. 53v-55v). Early 16th cent. Italian binding of blind- stamped and tooled leather, with a central roundel containing a boy holding a sail and below him a dolphin. Pastedowns formed from 13th cent. fragments of the Latin text of a commentary on Aristotle, with Italian illuminated initials, are preserved separately as Add. 53709, ff. 9, 10 (see Cat. Add. 1966-1970 p.1).
Written by four scribes: (1) ff. 1-18v; (2) ff. 19-19v; (3) ff. 21-44v; (4) ff. 45-56.
