Material: Parchment.
Foliation: ff i + 336 (+ unfoliated modern paper flyleaves). ff 1, 8, 137-38, 180-187 are replacements in a 13th- (?) century hand.
Dimensions: 355 x 255 mm.
Ruling: 230-260 x 165 mm. Leroy K 24C2, 32 lines.
Binding: British Museum, 1962.
Decoration: 3 pink foliate headpieces and large decorated pink initials (ff 138v, 180v, and 187v) added in the 13th century as replacement folios. Original simple brown headpieces, and small simple pink or brown initials.

? Thomas Howard (b. 1585, d. 1646), 2nd earl of Arundel, 4th earl of Surrey, and 1st earl of Norfolk, art collector and politician.
Henry Howard (b. 1628, d. 1684), 6th duke of Norfolk, presented to the Royal Society in 1667.
The Royal Society, London (its ink stamp: 'Soc. Reg. Lond. / ex dono HENR. HOWARD / Norfolciensis', f 9r; its bookplate, inside upper cover).
Purchased by the British Museum from the Royal Society of London together with 549 other Arundel manuscripts in 1831.
